One I made for my Mum..

Hello, to anyone that might pop by..

This was for Mums Birthday, although I made it before we went to Spain I didn't have a chance to post it. It's big, a large 8x8"card made from 2 A4 sheets, I used another Joanna Sheen Nostalgia decoupage sheet by Fay Whittaker, I love these, they are so pretty and easy to cut out. I used flower soft, guess where..lol..on the flowers and around the hats. Added some ribbon, glittered the flowers and leaves, matted the decoupage onto a lavender crinkle paper, then used a glue pad to stamp and glitter white card, punched along the side.  The greeting was printed, cut with a nestie and inked around the edges.

The insert is from a Bearly Mine Designs CD, I altered the size to fit the card, then mirrored the image so it could be used to print the verse on one side and somewhere for me to write on the other. Used a quickie glue pen and crystal glitter to highlight the leaves, the bows and around the oval.
Hope you like it...

Would love to know what you think...

Hello ...Me again

Thought I'd show the cards I made for my wonderful Mum and Mum in law for Mothers Day. Both are easel cards, the decoupage images I used were from Joanna Sheen Nostalgia by Fay Whittaker.
I really love these, they are so easy to cut out and look far better in real life.
The little girls were for Mum as she has 3 girls, and the boys for MIL as she has 2 boys, quite apt I thought.

A touch of crystal glitter on the dresses, red glitter on the bows, and red ultra fine flowersoft mixed with glitter around their hats. On the base I used some prima flowers distressed with Tim Holts ink. I know it looks cockeyed but it was just a very odd angle I took the photo, lol..

The base image is an insert from a disk by Donna at Bearly Mine designs, printed and decoupage, there are some lovely inserts on the cd, and wonderful service from Donna. By the way check out Donna's candy on her blog.

The story goes,I ordered the disk, about week later I still hadn't received it, so I got in touch with Donna who told me she'd posted it the day I ordered it, so it must have got lost in the post, without question she said she would send out another one to me..which I received within 2 days, guess what a few days later the original one she sent arrived,(it took almost 2 weeks to get here) I emailed her to let her know I'd received it, when I got home that night I had an email from her saying not to send it back and to keep it..but I'd already sent it back to her. I think I'll be buying more of her papers and inserts soon. Check them out here. As far as the post office is concerned well........... your guess is as good as mine as to where it was for 2 weeks..wasn't at the local sorting office as I phoned them to check.

Again on this one I used one of Donna's inserts, decoupaged it and used some small roses. The smaller image is the whole of the insert used on the card.

Oh guess what.... Whoopee.. I won the Ribbon Girls Candy,
thank you, gorgeous pink ribbons, some button & stamps all lovely, lucky me..

For My Mum

First of all I'd love to thanks everyone for leaving me such lovely comments, they are all really appreciated.

I know it's ages since I put a card on here but the weather has been so good lately, on my days off work I've been trying to sort out our garden... I've been slow in trying to catch up on all the blogs I follow, almost managed it last week but some of you are so quick, I never seem to have the time to catch up.... and I haven't had much time to go on the forum, but I have managed to make a couple of cards recently, I just haven't got round to posting them, still trying to grab one back to take a photo of it as I didn't finish it until the last minute.

I had a great day Saturday at a play day organised by a forum friend, we made a lovely stationery box and a beaded flower, will definitely make some more of them, I'll post some pics another time. She provided everything we needed for the makes, we had a lovely lunch and great company, it must have taken ages to prepare everything so well and taken a lot of effort. So I would just like to say to her, thanks a million for a fantastic day.
But for now here's a card I made for My Mum.......

This was for Mums 82nd Birthday....before I started making cards I was never really bothered about the picture on the front of the card, I always concentrated on the verse inside, I still spend ages looking for a verse that will tell her how much I love and appreciate her...but don't think I can show it here..

Anyway..I've had this decoupage sheet for ages, I added some flowersoft to their flowers and hats, and printed the sentiment, the little angel pin on the sentiment was Mums, she was having a clear out, and asked me if I wanted it to use on a card.... now she's got it back... I wasn't going to add the little flower gems, but the border punch got stuck and I tore the corner of the punching so I put a little flower gem on it to cover it up, then I as I was sticking down the flowers I managed to mark the ribbon with the pinflair glue, I tried to remove it but it left a mark , so I had to add some more gems to hide the mark.... sometime things never go according to plan,

Would love to know what you think...

A couple of A4 Xmas cards

Thought I'd show you a few more, from La Pashe,

I made the decoupage up in the normal way, but as I was going to use both of the sheets on A4 cards, I thought they needed to be a bit longer, so I roughly tore pieces of white card, and overlapped them onto the bottom of the decoupage backing sheet. I then added Snow Writer roughly over the white card and to the bottom of the sheets for a bit of dimension and as I can't seem to do Christmas without a bit of bling, I added Glamour Dust over the Snow Writer.

For the carol singers card I also added a touch of Snow Writer and glitter onto the trees, lantern, house sign etc. I used dark green Flower Soft on the wreath and swag, decorated them with Xmas Red Stickles for the berry's and the bows, also added a blobs of Silver Stickles and a few dabs of Glamour Dust. The brass door furniture and lanterns glows were highlighted with a Secura Stardust clear pen. It was matted onto silver miri card.

For the shop window I used Snow Writer and Glamour Dust on on the snow. Matted it onto a dark green card, then onto silver miri card, and finally onto the dark green card again.

Once mounted both were added to A4 cards which I bought from C&C. The greetings for both were made in Design Master, then cut with Robo from sparkly silver paper and dark purple miri card.

I would love you to leave some comments if you have time...
