Hello again..I love fairies..

Thought I put up a fairy or 2, seeing as I've not posted for a bit. I love this fairy and found it very difficult to part with her, but as it was for my sister birthday, I let her  fly away.... sob sob...but I made myself a bigger one to keep....lol..in different colours I'll post her when I've taken a photo.  The gorgeous fairy is from Craft Creations Plus Enchanted CD, the artist is Linda Ravenscroft and I've just treated myself to the latest CD which is the POW on C&C.

I played around with the decoupage a bit and gave her lots of fairy dust in the form of crystal glitter and silver stickles. A bit fiddly in places but worth it I thought.
The gorgeous flowers were from Hobby House,  and I must admit I love them, added a bit of glitter to them as you do. Punched the leaves added more glitter.

The greeting I did on the pc on white card, cut the shape with my robo using a file that was a freebie from Birds Cards, I just changed the size and coloured  it using  dusty concord distress ink. Ribbon was white from stash, coloured with the same distress ink. Printed the backing paper which was a freebie from Making Handmade Cards,  I changed the colour a bit to match the card.

Thought I have a go at the following Challenges..
Magical Monday Challenge: Anything Goes
and
Flutter by Wednesday No 170

Hope you like it,..
Would love to know what you think...

Thinking of You

This was for another member of the forum I belong to.

I wish I could get white to show up white in my photo's, no matter how many photo's I take the colours never come out right.

I used an A4 pearlized white card and did a funny fold, I don't know what the fold is called though. The Poppy Flower Faerie, was free in a craft magazine last year year she was decoupaged and highlighted using a Clear Sakura Stardust Pen, matted her onto red card and used the Sakura Pen to outline the mat, then popped a little gem in the center of the poppy. The poppies along the bottom and down the edge were decoupaged using a Duflex sheet, which I cut up so I could get some to use along the edge of the fold. I printed the sentiment and the insert directly to the card using my new toy, Greetings Card Factory, took a bit of playing around to get it lined up but I got there in the end.

I would love you to leave some comments if you have time...
